Anyone else noticing how little can be done in an hour? And how fast time moves?

I get it "As you grow older, time seems to move faster... Its brain chemistry",but no... Not like this no...

Everyone has the same experience around me. Regardless of age. I got a slow life... Why does it still move faster than when I had plenty to do? Why if I try to spend some serious amount of work,it doesnt seem to me that it measures against anything meaningful?

I am not much on socials,I really focus on what I think matters to me... No distraction. I value the small things. I enjoy doing things with awareness and consciousness... Yet every hour seems a second, every month a day, every year a month... I cant figure it out.

Is this someone pressing fast forward outside of reality? Is time itself under pressure somehow as in physics?

Ah man!!

"Time is an illusion. Lunchtime, doubly so."
"Oh, very good. Very deep. You should send that in to the
Reader's Digest. They've got a page for people like you."

Seriously, it's a matter of perception. It seems only yesterday I was staying up two nights in a row to watch Apollo 11...and I was 3 1/2. Where did the last 56+ years go?

Or that time when I was driving a Reach truck and made a rookie mistake: I didn't level my forks when I started work (ironically its last user had done exactly what you should do: point forks down, then lower them until the heels are just touching the floor. I just forgot to level them). Here's me blithely picking up a load from a 1st level shelf. The forks scraped against the shelf girders and the shelf collapsed on either side as the girders twisted out of their supports. As this was occurring, time slowed to a crawl and I had time to think: "Oh, no, this is not happening"...because I wished it weren't.
Things speeded up after that.

Or when I got caught in the cyclists' death trap, a.k.a. the road outside Rochdale Train Station. There are tram tracks. My front wheel got caught in one. I had time to think, "Oh, you prat!" before I went a**e-over-t*t over the handlebars, adding a scar to my collection and soft tissue damage.

Re: The speed of time is not natural

The passage of time is all screwed up, when you're bored it drags on & on, but when you're enjoying yourself it flies by.

It really should be the other way round

Time waits for no man . . . or woman . . . or confused person that may or may not self identify as a gender neutral toaster

Re: The speed of time is not natural

We know the speed of light but what is the speed of dark

and is a light year different to a dark year

Re: The speed of time is not natural

Quote:
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your hometown
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say

Pink Floyd Time
