Just goes to show that one person's bad luck can be another person's silver lining. <<hugs>>

Much better now thank you. It cleared after a week. I didn't get the flu, may be because I got the flu jab no sniffles which I'm thankful for.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates
Got taken into A & E for the second night on the trot because of high potasuim levels (hospital 16 miles away), it was decided reading was'nt of concern after all. Try getting a taxi on New Years eve.

Hi sweetie. I ended up doing the same on Boxing day so I share your pain.
During 2025 I sure got my monies worth out of the NHS and their emergency service. My local hospital doesn't have an A & E just a daytime urgent case service so Sod's Law kept doing it's thing. Every time I had a crisis it seemed to be out of hours and I would end up in a blue light ambulance into central Manchester with John following on in the car knowing that I would soon be sent back to my local Hospital where they knew what I needed and the quickest way to get there was by car.
My MOAN .... Sod's Law firmly in place ..... late Boxing Day evening I knew I was in trouble and John had to dial 999 knowing that I needed to be admitted somewhere as I couldn't go direct to my local hospital" as "there's no A&E"
I wish red tape could be bypassed but that's a whole different, and ongoing, massive moan.
To add a happy note, I do carry a letter from my Consultant explaining what needs to happen so I saved some time in A&E by getting blood tests done while I waited for them to contact a member of my medical team. Within an hour John drove me to my own hospital where I was finally admitted and I immediately got my PRBCs blood/high dose intravenous immunoglobulin * transfusions and was allowed home next evening.
*As it turned out to be a serious viral infection I may, hopefully, still be in my version of remission as my leukocytosis is dropping fast and my RBC is staying stable.🤞
Back in my bubble and, due to still being on high dose antibiotics, I couldn't toast the new year but had a strong Vimto over ice with a slice of lemon on the side.
Tinky I hope you at least got to have something a little more potent.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates
I feel your pain Joglynne believe me, I have the added problem of transport Mr T doesn't drive. Also I have had 16 ambulance call outs this year. I am lucky to have acute care at home visiting 2 times a week plus district nurses calling also. PS I did manage alchohol free wine.
