It's a good day for conker collectors . What's up with the kids these days? None of them seem interested in picking them up. They'd have been scrapping over them in the 1970s

Health and safety obviously. You're not allowed to play conkers anymore. Well not without full body armour, helmet and goggles etc and certainly not without a responsible adult present who at least needs to be trained in H&S and has legal advice to adjudicate.

Same applies to those climbing trees, making rope swings, crafting bows and arrows, swimming in the local ponds/rivers, and all other activities that once were fun as a youngster.

I remember buggering off out after breakfast and coming home (late) for the evening meal - warmed up in the oven if you were lucky

Pretty sure it didn't kill me or any of my friends
