Compare and recycle
Has anybody used this service before?
https://www.compareandrecycle.co.uk/
I've got an offer from them for my OnePlus 9 Pro in poor condition for around £50. I requested a prepaid mailing pack.

Problem with CeX is they want me to register. I can't be arsed with it. I lose near £30.

It takes no more than a minute to register, you say it's only £30 but you get 60% more money!

I get the impression you don't go to work so you may have a benefits book, but they also except debit card.
Just be aware if the phone came with a charger and usb lead you need to take them in with the phone too or send in.
Full Membership
Selling to CeX is fast, friendly and fair. If you're exchanging a Phone or selling anything for cash you need a full CeX membership, which is free. A full membership allows you to sell all items for either cash or credit voucher.
In England, Northern Ireland and Wales full members must be at least 16 years old and be able to present ONE of the following ID:
https://uk.support.webuy.com/support...-requirements-
Current Signed Passport
EU National Identity Card
Current UK photocard Driving Licence (full/provisional)
Police/Armed Forces Warrant Card
DWP Benefit Book or Card
Utility Bill (not more than 6 months old)
A current bank/credit union/building society/credit card statement (not more than 6 months old)
Council Tax/Rent Book
Disabled Drivers Permit
Debit/Credit Card
Citizen Card

Re: compareandrecycle
What gives you that impression? I am in employment
My debit card just has my name on and signature. How is that classed as ID? I can pull up bank statements on my phone or get a hard copy from my bank?
I've got an order in at CeX £79

Probably because at random times during the week you travel to Brighton to see family or maybe you are a for hire Chippendale on Brighton pier!!! apologies for making a wrong assumptionl
Debit card is on the list, I guess your address is linked to it which they can check.
Good luck with CEX I hope they don't reject it.

Re: compareandrecycle
What is a DWP benefit book?
It's over 13 years since they were scrapped and everyone paid to an account.

I'll try. I don't have a clue.

CeX rejected it on the spot because it has a crack on the back, I thought that was normal I've contacted my original order through compareandrecycle to clarify c grade. I don't really want to sell on eBay. The nerves of getting scammed are too much.

Re: Compare and recycle
I still have my paper driving licence, and no plans to get the photo ID, while it's still valid

Same here with my Driving Licence, I'd like to have a photo one but the fact it expires after £10 years and then costs £14 every 10 years after means I may as well wait until my paper expires in 2038 which would make me 70 then the licence renewal is Free(from the age of 70) although I may have to pay £14 to change to a photo id then. If I ever want to drive overseas then I would need to get a photo id but I can't see myself ever doing that.
