Had email from company called AliExpress asking me to confirm account . Guess someone is using my virgin address ,or it just a scam ? Anyhow now in trash bin

Aliexpress is a real firm(kind of a marketplace). Mostly cheap and Chinese tat but you can get a bargain. Is your email one that could be similar to another? You have done right anyway

Real firms dont normally send emails asking you to "confirm" your account (unless you just registered of course). I treat any such emails as spam, and delete them.

AliExpress have changed how they display the breakdown of costs. VAT is now included in the listed price whereas before it was added at checkout. I just checked my last order and yes it does contain tax.
