Ignore them, interactive sports channels have always had spurious language codes but have been in English. Breton is spoken in parts of Brittany, France and is related to Welsh, Cornish etc.

Re: Virgin TV (2024)
Rakuten TV is now available on Virgin Media. This is a welcome addition, given that it has both free and premium TV available for viewers.
https://advanced-television.com/2024...-on-virgin-tv/
[EXTRACT]
Rakuten TV, the European streaming platform, is now available on Virgin TV in the UK, offering viewers an array of content with over 8,000 titles on demand, including new releases to rent and buy, 150+ FAST channels and 1,000+ titles.
Access to the Rakuten TV app is direct, with no subscription necessary, Virgin TV customers can go to the app section on Virgin TV360 or Stream to access the app whereby they can watch three distinct services tailored to various viewing preferences.
These include:
No Extra Cost: an array of content at no extra cost, supported by ads.
A vast library of movies and TV shows without any subscription fees.
Live TV: a variety of live TV channels at no extra cost, supported by ad.
Store: Virgin TV customers are able to buy or rent the latest movie releases via the app by registering an account, offering the flexibility to watch premium content.

Re: Virgin TV (2024)
Been told that from 9 September Virgin will start to contact customers with TiVo (not V6) boxes to say that Netflix is to be removed.
If they still want Netflix they will be told to upgrade to the 360 box.

Which seems a bit pointless as the 360 also lacks several apps. Probably better just to get a dedicated streaming device and not to rely on what Virgin curates.

MY OWN VIEWS:
I can't see V6 Boxes being axe anytime soon as Rakuten TV was added.
Maybe after 2025 but not before.

Well, there are thousands, so I won't list them all. Some of the more popular ones that spring to mind are Discovery+, MUBI, Veeps, Hayu, Acorn TV, Shudder, Arrow, Crunchyroll, Spotify, other music apps such as Amazon, Deezer, Apple, Tidal etc, Radio aggregators that work such as Tune In (although the UK is restricting the service availability on most of these). TUBI, Plex, Rlaxx, Filmzie, nosey, revry, ARTE. More esoteric apps such as National Theatre at Home, Marquee TV, Met Opera On Demand. More than Virgin will ever have enough resources available to add to the 360. Many of them won't appeal to a lot of people and a lot of apps out there are, frankly, trash. But if you don't want to limit your choice to what Virgin thinks you should watch, get a proper streaming device and make your own choices. Virgin is unlikely to add apps such as NOW.

Especially since it took over the NFL Game Pass. Lots of other omissions from the sports app genre. FIFA+, UEFA.tv, Triller, UFC, WWE Network, NBA, MLB, F1... to name but a few.

Legal pressure from copyright owners, which has been interpreted as meaning overseas stations are prohibited as they aren't specifically paying copyright fees in the UK. Other countries don't have the same restrictions so Tune In now works much better with a VPN. Some of the directory based apps such as vTuner don't have such tight restrictions (yet).
