It looks like there will be plenty of green energy in the system tomorrow, so we're back on for another Free Electricity session.

Fill your boots on Sunday 18 August: 1-2pm.

During the hour, you'll only pay for the electricity you'd normally use at this time. Any extra you use will be completely free! See our FAQs for more info.

You don't need to do anything else: just get ready to power up. We'll let you know within the week how much additional electricity you used and credit your account within 14 days.

Share on social tagging #FreeElectricity to show us how you're switching on and making the most of the green energy surplus.

 Love and power,

 Pete Miller

And people still say smart meters are bad..... The main problem is when they don't work because they can't transmit I guess, but when they work it's a no brainer if you get on a smart tariff.

So I currently have a 4 day gap in my readings, which I assume are on the meter so will get grabbed at some point.

My decision to flip electric to Agile has certainly looked a good one so far. I was a little hesitant at first, but a week of data comparing Agile v Tracker was pretty clear, the switch took less than a day. Of course, time will tell over the long run, but the indications are it should work out ok, even over winter.

The IHD is proving to be a bit of a waste of time, it was solid for a week, but has been rebooting lots since then. The cost display on it is useless, it doesnt seem to understand agile at all. The "real-time" was useful, but not since it started rebooting - you have to manually put it back to that screen each time. I soon gave up that.

The IHD can't do smart tariffs I believe, you may as well just get those tariffs from their app as that has everything I think you need especially when you get a Home Mini installed.
According to Octoprice I have no data for a 1.5hr time in both June and July but it didn't affect my billing as I still have every day listed with different prices for the Tariff on the Tracker.
