My local council froze the 'general council tax' part and increased the social care element by 2%. The parish council also froze their part, while police and fire increased theirs by around 5%. All in all it works out about £8 extra per month.

For those that missed this weeks Martin Lewis program, what was said was a bit of on eye opener. You can check (or should) check if you're in the right band, or compare to it others in your neighbourhood street/road etc. https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/re...-bands-change/

			Up 5% to £1711, Band D.
It was squeaky bum time for the Labour MPs and Councillors after a few of them demanded over 10%.
