ITV AD closes on Virgin Media

ITV AD has tonight close on Virgin UK Channel 853.

So viewers in Scotland can no longer watch ITV local news from London or a film on New Year Eve just after midnight on ITV.

S4C AD is no longer broadcasting on Virgin UK Channel 856.

They can get all BBC nations. It's ITV England that Scots and Irish no longer get

Won't live ITV England be available using ITV Hub? Then there is ITV+1 SD.
AD is available on the main channel numbers, so no need for dedicated channels.
Seems ridiculous to have 5 BBC1 channels across the nations that are in HD and the content is mostly the same or just different scheduling.

Just looked it's 870 in Wales unless virgins description of it is wrong or I am missing something , gives the local new as west country

Cardiff gets ITV West on 870 as an additional region because.. well, I can't remember why. It is odd but that's just how things are.

Been told it's because itv Wales use to be broadcasted at times in Welsh trying to stop Cardiff who use to pointing at the Mendips not wenvoe not sure if that was the case way back then
