				F1 2022 Season Thread

The 2022 season is nearly upon us with changes to the FIA structure.
Michael Masi as expected has been sacked as Race Director and will be offered another roll in the FIA, maybe they will make him a car park attendant! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/60418716

Let's hope the FIA strip Max and return the title to Lewis.
I like many will not be watching F1 until this happens.

Even true Dutch F1 fans have said Leiws was robbed.

 | It'll never happen Hom3r.

Personally I can't wait for the new season to start with the very different cars.

 | I will only watch the British Gp, as I'm done with F1 after nearly 45 years.

The Russian Formula 1 Grand Prix has been cancelled as a result of the invasion of Ukraine.
An F1 statement said it had been agreed at a meeting of stakeholders "that it is impossible to hold the Russian Grand Prix in the current circumstances".

I doubt that Mazepin will actually race, the FIA is under pressure to ban him

The FIA is affiliated to the IOC, which did a U-turn yesterday.

Plus, we have banned all Russian sports persons from the UK, so he won't be here.

He might even pull out himself?

There are conflicting stories, I read he might have to sign a document denouncing Putin's actions.

Also, even if he does stay, the rules would allow him to race at Silverstone despite the fact we have banned all Russians.

Well after listening to Karen Horner today, I definitely won't be watching F1 this season (I will watch the British).
