If you really want to see the odd regional programme that appears on there, it’ll be on the BBC iPlayer wherever you live in the country.

Because often people like the easy simple option of putting a channel number, rather than changing the input, choosing an app, then searching for the programme they want…

 | Well technically no, if you live in the middle of nowhere with not even a 3G signal you won't get iplayer.

It’s on the Sky, Virgin, BT and TalkTalk boxes already, as well as all smart TVs. No need to change the input, and don’t forget, we are talking about accessing the odd programme here, none of which have mass appeal.

BBC 2 Wales has so little that's worth watching l wouldn't worry that much. However the one (for me) thing that really bugs about a regional channel on BBC is the weather forecast . At the weekend we get BBC national news followed by Wales news and weather forecast, then the weather forecast again !!

Are Virgin Media making room for BBC Three?

I probably won't be around much over the next few weeks but will update whenever possible.

You’re right - that would be so much easier….
