I don't think they need to launch it as a new channel exactly.
Just a programme block during the day, as sometimes it comes on randomly at 14:15-15:00 and cuts out mid speech and goes to the info for 4 hours.

 | I think that's why BBC Parliament Scotland can be justified given that it has significant powers.

One option might be for it to operate in the downtime hours of BBC Scotland. This would mean that all live coverage can be shown but no additional multiplex space on Freeview would be required.

A decision for the Scottish Parliament really, not something that can be decided on a forum.

No one suggested this forum will decide it, its simply a poll.

Fun for some maybe but still pointless.

			Why not ?
You may as well say whats the point of any poll ?
They rarely make actual decisions, they are for interest or information.

 | And probably would say that. Opinion polls can have some value to a developer when considering something that is actually being planned.

How is it useful to know that x% of the participants whatever forum would support blah blah? The low number of users participating means the results won't even represent the views of forum users, not to mention the general public.

Users often mock such polls with comments such as "are you high?". Hardly taking the subject matter seriously.

Maybe there should be a poll on how valuable/useful forum users find these polls. |

Maybe you need another hobby instead of wasting so much time in a poll you're not interested in.
