Is this normal? Time from switch on until lights stop flashing.

I would say very unusual. Do you have a problem?

OK thanks. This was from a cold start, switched off at the mains for four hours. Waited until only the white light at the bottom was on, no other green/red light flashing or otherwise.

It seems longer than normal it probably should take 5-10mins but maybe it was doing a firmware update too, do all your stats look normal?

Software version is 9.1.1802.610. First item of the network log and the rest are dated 01/01/1970.
VLC and video playback (not audio) problem, maybe related? It's an old computer, could need a full reinstall.

 | It's the downstream and upstream power levels that users on this forum need to see which may indicate a problem.

That high amount of packet loss will cause you issues worth a call to VM to remedy it or replace the hub. , Unless it's a computer side issue that is causing both the packetloss and video issues.

I thought 33% was a lot, that's why I ran it three times. The computer passes Avast and Malwarebytes but it doesn't seem right.

You either need to phone up or make a post on the VM forum, it'll take around a week for them to reply but they will do some checks for you and hopefully send an engineer out.
