		| Amazon secures UK rights to the US Open Amazon has taken the UK rights to the US Open, freezing out Eurosport which announced it had secured the tennis Grand Slam in continental Europe.
It follows Amazon’s acquisition of the ATP Tennis tour in the summer, outbidding Sky, which is now in the final year of its contract. Sky has also screened the US Open, taking first pick of matches that were then also made available to its rival.
The move has sparked renewed speculation as to whether Amazon will now go on to make a bid for other sporting rights, including the Premier League.

With Amazon securing exclusive tennis rights in the UK, it would seem that the next domino to fall to them could be the Football Premiership rights.https://www.rapidtvnews.com/20171117...#axzz4yh7IbZKU
However, current thinking seems to be that Amazon will not enter the game until the following bidding process in 2022. This now seems the most likely scenario, but I'm not ruling out the possibility that Amazon might surprise everybody with a bid this time around. Maybe to test the waters, they will start with one of the smaller packages.

If you care to look at my previous posts, you will see that I have been talking about either Amazon or one of the other global players taking over the premiership rights either this time around or next.

I stick by that, and although time would be tight, I still think there is a possibility that Amazon may go for the full monty in the current bidding round. However, 2022 seems more likely.

Same old same old - will you ever give up OB?

At least you have done a u-turn on when!

Are you a politician? Because you ignore the facts and speculate as if it is reality!

You can check on what I have said previously very easily on here and if you want to accuse me of contradiicting myself, please provide your evidence. It is only polite to do so.
