They are putting themselves into power saving mode. If you don't want this to happen, go into Home -> Help & Settings -> Settings -> Devices -> Power Saving, and select "Always On"

Had you pressed a button? It takes about 30 seconds to come out of power-saving mode when you wake them up.
They will also come out of power-saving by themselves periodically to see if anything needs doing.

Not on the V6, no, do you mean any button, like the TV on button for instance?
I've now got them all on "Always On"

Not every button, but TV will work, as will quite a few of the others. Anyway, you've resolved it now.

Re: Virgin Media V6 - Powered by TiVo(new STB)
I have noticed that since my V6 boxes were fitted I have a slight lip sync problem, I never had this with my old TiVo box or my V+ boxes, anyone know if this is a common problem?

It's not a problem I have ever experienced on the V6s, but when it happened once on my old Tivo, a re-boot fixed it.
Are you only getting this problem on certain channels, and on both V6s?

Which channel? Is it a direct HDMI connection from V6 to TV, and you get the sound from the TV speakers?
For startes, try changing the Dolby setting on the V6

Hi, SP, yes it is a direct HDMI connection from V6 to TV, and yes the sound is from the TV speakers.

OK, so does changing the Dolby setting help?

Re: Virgin Media V6 - Powered by TiVo(new STB)
Well I'm very pleased with Virgin I had cancelled my TV last year so only paid for phone and BB. I still used the Tivo (500Gb) albeit just freeview channels, quite suprised to find I could still record and use Tivo features.
Anyway the Tivo started playing up freezing on both recordings and live TV, eventually it gave up completely and just kept rebooting.
I rang CS expecting to be told that I would have to sign up to at least a minimum package to get it replaced. They ran some tests and said they would send replacement I said I was quite happy to do self install.
Two days later a parcel arrived containing not a 500Gb Tivo but a V6. I'm still on the same package.
Well done Virgin looking after long term customers and making them feel valued.

Re: Virgin Media V6 - Powered by TiVo(new STB)
I've got the audio sync issue. The audio is behind the video everso slightly. Reboots fix it, but it comes back bit by bit, and gets progressively worse. It does seems to waiver in and out of sync over time. I tried various different options for video modes and audio settings, but nothing makes a difference.
I did have a call with Virgin for an engineer to come look at it but it got cancelled as it coincided with a region fault (fibre got cut) and they cancelled the call when that was resolved. Reminds me I need to re-log the issue.
