If Darts got in you may as well pave the way for 'Esports' a term used to describe competitive gaming, quite baffling really. CoD at the Olympics alongside Darts.

Why not as they have certain other sports in the Olympics now which many years ago were classed as non starters and were laughed out of town..

No and there are sports currently in that I think shouldn't be.

What about synchronised Morris Dancing, surely we'd have a medal chance?

I'd rather see field archery admitted way ahead of darts and similar. And I'd remove 11-a-side football and other sports that already have big tournaments or take a long time to run. 5-a-side fits nicely and rugby sevens as you can have several matches in a session and that fits more into a two week multi-sport event like the Olympics. Some long events do work as you only run a couple of events for lots of people at once (marathon).

I think there was a plan at one time to maybe include snooker at the Olympic Games but I don't ever recall darts being considered, or even asking, for Olympic inclusion.

Darts already has a recognised world championship. Leaving aside whether darts is a sport, I take the view if winning the Olympic gold isn’t the pinnacle of a sport it shouldn’t be an Olympic event. The gold medals at tennis or golf aren’t the pinnacle. The 100 metres is.

It is in the Paralympics with various categories.
