Planned maintenance

received a letter last month saying planned maintenance tomorrow 8th September and it may affect internet so I have arranged to go into my office for the day (work from home 3 days a week)
got home today and found another letter saying planned maintenance on 4 October - tried to call the number on the letter to see if this is separate to tomorrow or instead of but the number is now closed for the day
my area is 31 - does anyone know if the maintenance tomorrow is still going ahead?

Re: Planned maintenance

We had a letter a few months ago and noticed recently that vent holes have appeared on the green cabinet in the street. They have just cut holes on either side and stuck a vent on!

Re: Planned maintenance

Area numbers are purely for billing purposes, to do with the old legacy companies systems. If its bring letter dropped sounds like either a reseg or some kit being upgraded

Re: Planned maintenance

Sounds like a rebuild of the network, potentially to increase bandwidth. Could be tap replacement and clean up, could be replacement of actives to remove upstream limitation, get the network to 1.2 GHz.

Node splits haven't ever involved a letter drop as far as I'm aware.

Sorry OP, appreciate that doesn't answer your question.
