30 Days Notice!
Just wanted to remove SKY Sports as I had it for the cricket for the summer, just wondering have VM always had a policy of 30 days notice for cancelling a service or wishing to leave them in their terms and conditions?

Sky Premium channels have always been 30 days for as long as I can remember. When you signed up to them there used to be a notification that you had to give 30 days notice.....I've seen me in the past sign up for Sky sports and on the same phone call give my 30 days notice.

You can't be going mad because I had sky movies a while back and cancelled instantly without any bother

Re: 30 Days Notice!
The term for the 30 days notice to downgrade services was added to the terms and conditions in February 2015.
However it wasn't enforced until earlier this year.

Maybe but I've downgraded in the last few weeks and it happened later the same day.

Re: 30 Days Notice!
My recent downgrades have all been on 30 days notice.
I took that into account and cancelled a month before I actually needed to.

Re: 30 Days Notice!
I found out today that if you are changing your package because of the coming price increase you can waiver that 30 days. I'm in limbo at the moment as to what to do with virgin media. My current package is too expensive and the only downgrade they can give me is £5 cheaper which will increase again in a couple of months with the increases.... not happy. Anyway don't want to hijack

Re: 30 Days Notice!
sky sports and other premium channels must be kept for a minimum of 30 days, after that you can simply call up and cancel. Channels are removed straight away, https://www.cable.co.uk/guides/how-t...on-sky-sports/ . relevant part is towards the bottom in case you find it hard to believe.

K1. You may add to or reduce the services (including the content you receive as part of the television service) from time to time by contacting our customer services team. If you ask us to add any extra services or any extra content or bundles ofcontent to the television service, you agree to accept such additional content or bundles of content for at least the minimum period that applies to it. If you ask us to reduce your tier of services within the minimum period for that service, we may ask you to pay a fee depending on the service being reduced and the remaining length of the minimum period. If you wish to reduce your tier of service or remove any additional service (including premium television channels) you must give us 30 days' notice and pay any charges (including usage charges and line rental) up to the end of that 30-day notice period.

Re: 30 Days Notice!
I stand corrected. You do have to give 30 days notice
