The top ten most watched shows on Sky Atlantic are GoT episodes. It's a super show both for HBO and Sky and its success is unlikely to be replicated once the show is finished.

Sky just got very lucky when doing a deal with HBO to launch Sky Atlantic at the same time that Game OF thrones came along.

SS Mix could be a driver to sky platform, it should be noted that AFAIK it's not even going to be on Now TV which is not a good omen IMO as you would of expected it to be

It will probably all get repeated on Sky 2 as part of an attempt to revitalise that channel. There it will pick up all those viewers who couldn't watch it on Sky Atlantic, boosting advertising revenues.

The whole point of keeping Sky Atlantic exclusive is because of Game of Thrones.

Actually, I'd go even further than that... Sky rejig their channels every 4-5 years and once the HBO/Sky deal is up, I'd be surprised if it were renewed on the same terms. So, there might not even be a Sky Atlantic in 2-3 years time.
