'lack of content' ---- the only significant missing content is Sky Atlantic. That has always been the case. Again available via Now TV.

By mixing TV M or M+, plus the above streaming services, you can get wide content coverage at a reasonable cost. It's a case of thinking outside the 'all Virgin or all Sky' box.
 | Stop moaning about Tivo beeing slow its old hardware. its already at least 5 years old... theres a new box coming soon. and Virgin VOD is actually very good since ABC had added more content to the box...

90 seconds is the worst so far, but it's regularly taking up to 10 seconds to get to the programme and another for it to play.

SP advised me to rebuild my Planned Recordings, which I have done, so i'll see if this imoroves things.

I am reluctant to delete Thumbs Up as Suggestions was one of the reasons that I actually got a TiVo, but I will if I have to.

I'm also reluctant to get a new box as there are outstanding films/programmes on it that I haven't watched and i'll have to swap it anyway as a new box is on the horizon.

Going forward, my plan is to try and improve this box and get by until the new box comes out. If the new box is problematic my patience with VM will be exhausted and i'll leave them. If they get awkward, I have plans to deal with this.

And exactly where have I moaned about Tivo being slow?

As for VOD, I simply said that I have no need for it as I have three other sources.

Did you mean to quote someone else?

The "more content" as you put it is most welcome, but the VOD is still crap, mostly unavailable, please try later!!

Mike Fries, the VM CEO, said today that he wants VM customers to have "access to everything/the best stuff" , but that they are not going to spend billions on exclusive content.

"Netflix is more friend than foe as customers need broadband to access it".

Maybe this is why we have now got truTV and after all these years it looks likely that Universal HD will be starting.

Apart from the Sony film channels, Spike and Your TV, what else is there to go for?

Edit: Could Sky Atlantic be back on the agenda?

And it not 100% confirm until it has been given an Virgin Media UK Channel number.

After all Arabic Hafla has been testing since February 21st 2015.
 | I didn't mean what you are reporting. My comment was about you responding an either/or question without actually answering it.

Channels have been delayed even after being announced by Virgin Media, so even that isn't conclusive. I suppose the ultimate confirmation is when a new channel launches on the EPG.
