Superhub2 Firmware Upgrade

I noticed that my Superhub 2 downloaded 1.01.31 last night. Does anyone know what changes are in this?

Well the first major change was the version number.

Re: Superhub2 Firmware Upgrade

Is this another attempt to get Virgin's wifi in the street working? I noticed that 1.01.31 had been loaded, took it out of modem mode and noticed an extra wifi channel. put it back into modem mode and the extra wifi channel dissapeared.

Re: Superhub2 Firmware Upgrade

just checked my log and got mine on Monday. I have kept it in modem mode so hopefully nothing untoward to happen. I have just had a quick search on the VM forums and come a across a thread titled "Continuing problems with the not-so-Superhub 2". I have just had a quick look to see if I could find a thread detailing the fixes in the new update but couldn't find anything. I'll try again later.

Re: Superhub2 Firmware Upgrade

Those idiots at VM play their cards too close to their chest. I've asked behind the scenes and nobody is forthcoming.

Don't you hate this level of customer facing pig headedness?

Re: Superhub2 Firmware Upgrade

Absolutely, they are only inviting more cynicism in the future. If they are going to go to the effort of makinga new update/patch then you would expect a community announcement saying "today we have releaded r31 which addresses issues with u, v and w and fixes x, y and z". Not making an announcement half gives the impression that they have done it for the sake of it and we all know there are far better things they can spend their time and money fixing.

Re: Superhub2 Firmware Upgrade

I've had two people this week complaining about dropping WiFi on a sh2. Has anyone else with the updated firmware had any issues?

Re: Superhub2 Firmware Upgrade

Over the years of watching posts about the uncertainties in behaviour of various VM hubs, I can rest easy knowing that my SH1 decision to go modem mode and stick with it was the right decision.
