Re: Telegraph Article

"There will be more software upgrades for the Virgin Media Tivo set-top box over the year, including one that will introduce a feature now in pilot testing that the company is calling series link plus.

It will allow subscribers to record every episode of a programme as the familiar series link feature does, but will also pull in on-demand episodes from Netflix and other sources to create a more complete library."

This is the bit I like the most

Re: Telegraph Article

I do wonder if it's too little too late. I think Broadcast TV is on its way out. There's still fantastic content and I'd even go so far as to say that content today is the best it's ever been, but people's viewing habits have started changing. Maybe series link+ will be worthwhile but honestly, channel hopping is dead to me. The few times lately I've gone "Let's just find something on TV" I've felt almost disgusted at how rubbish it all is.

On demand is the future.

Re: Telegraph Article

Interesting to see that they will be upgrading their TV network so it can handle Liberty Global's Horizon TV product. Is that the death knell for Tivo?

Re: Telegraph Article

That's not difficult. The TiVo box is long due an upgrade.

Using netflix on it is painful.

It certainly is. I start up Netflix on the TiVo then use the Netflix app on my tablet to search and find the content then play it on the TV from the tablet. Can do the same with YouTube so can build a queue on the tablet and play on the TV.
