The Bravo I remember showed teen programmes, like Fresh Prince of Bel Air, etc.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2016)
Yes it did morph into a 'laddish' channel.
Originally, it had a strap line of 'Timewarp TV' and showed lots of vintage television shows, many in black & white. It was a cable only channel and owned by United Artists.
It ran from midday to midnight and this is how it opened each morning:

I actually loved this opening sequence so much that I tried to recreate it with this particular disco light to recreate the effect

The old and often monochrome progamming was believed to be putting off viewers so the direction of the channel was changed into what you remember, before being closed down by Sky.

All l can remember is that they showed a lot of trashy type programmes then but then again my memory is a good deal dimmer then it was then.

Was that reality TV? I'd always assumed it was crappy animal drama along the lines of 'Champion the Wonder Horse' and 'Skippy the Bush Kangaroo'. Just goes to show you shouldn't judge a programme by its title

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2016)
Sky Q has arrived
http://www.engadget.com/2016/02/09/sky-q-uk-launch/
The basic box costs £42 per month and can record three shows simultaneously in 1080p -- you can watch a fourth one live -- on a 1TB hard drive.
The Sky Q Silver box, meanwhile, is 4K ready and can capture up to four shows at once onto a 2TB drive, with the option to watch a fifth channel live. It costs £54 per month and supports up to four Sky Q Mini boxes, which cost £99 each, for multi-room viewing.
Will this push VM into releasing anything on their own new box?

One hopes all will be revealed in time or in Virgin's time as they say..

I wouldn't hold your breath!. If VM had managed TIVO better, they would have had a product that would have stood up quite well to Sky Q.

I disagree to a point.
The TiVo system (Software) is great. The hardware is now out of date. Get a new box, with a faster processor, more memory and maybe an extra knobs on to combat Sky Q and things will be fine. Aside from maybe not procuring shiny new spec boxes from TiVo fast enough, I think they've done well with the system.

I disagree completely.
Who, with any sense, would compare five year old hardware with brand new hardware?
Who's five year old PC is as fast as a brand new one?

So it better have an HD variant as all those shows are currently available in HD on Sky's other channels.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2016)
To be honest TIVO will not be my problem for much longer, totally fed up with the box, it's been flawed from the start.
