I do think it's odd that the primary target of these new channels will be Southern Ireland.
Why not give the channels more chance of success (particularly as the genres are already covered in Ireland) by covering the UK and having an Irish version like some channels already do.

If this rumour is true what will it Show?
I mean Sky Sports, BT Sport, Setanta Sports and Eurosport all broadcast in Southern Ireland.
Also why we not get RT when it did launch in November on Virgin Media Ireland?
If Virgin Media was signing deals for both Virgin Media UK and Southern Ireland.

They may be experimenting in Ireland before expanding into bigger markets and making mistakes on a smaller scale and out of the eye of the UK media. I'm still unsure about the logic of buying TV3 but they've obviously thought it through.
Ziggo Sport is just a rebrand of UPC's Sport 1 channel. VM have said they won't acquire UK sports rights as the market is too crowded. In the Netherlands, Ziggo is the market leader and has copied BT by providing a free sports channel to subscribers with the option of a premium channel on top.

I quite like the names they give the Movie channels.
If you fancy watching an "alien" film, at least you know what channel to look for lol

Love or hate them the general feedback for these pop up channels must be positive because Sky constantly survey people about them multiple times a year.

One who's been surveyed yes , to be honest I never watch the movies on the linear channels so a pop up channel is wasted on me that said they do generally group the movies together in a folder within Sky Movies On Demand.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2016)
i managed to get sky movies and save a pretty penny after my email. i must say the movies on demand section is especially good. very handy. i thought sky would withhold that from vm customers so fair play to them

Its like when the soap awards are on. You can near enough say who will win it.
One year it will be EastEnders, then the following year it will be Corrie.
There re much better soaps on then these two
|
Yep I prefer River City, it's a good well worth watching which never wins any soap awards. Everyone in UK can watch it on the Iplayer....
