BT prices are they negotiable?
I have a second internet connection which is BT, my primary being VM. The BT line is copper and I pay £17.25 per month for BB, it will cost £20 per month to upgrade to fibre. Looking at other ISP e.g Plusnet, they charge £5 for the first 6 months and then £14.99 thereafter. Seems like a good deal but I have to swap over all the equipment etc. I like to stay with BT but just like to ask if any members here actually get a good deal from BT and shall I not waste my time and just move to Plusnet?

The prices you are quoting from other ISP's are new customer offers. You are already a BT customer so wouldn't get any introductory offer to upgrade to Fibre.
Unless you already have an HH5 then you will need to swap out equipment anyway.

Re: BT prices are they negotiable?
Plusnet only have 2Mb upload on the 38Mb fibre, only BT and SKY to my knowledge do the full 10. I would go with sky as after 12 months you can switch again and its only £10 per month, no trottling etc

I'm only aware of Plusnet selling 2Mb on the 38Mb FTTC product. An overcompensation for them being stupid enough to buy the 76Mb product from Openreach and sell it as 38Mb so that they could advertise a 19Mb upstream.
The vast majority sell the 10Mb upstream.
BT have to make money from broadband, Sky subsidise it. They'll likely be cheaper.

So they're advertising a 38/19 product? Huh?

They stopped that but for a while you could get 38/20 which was good value

Ah forget those guys, ta.
That 50p + VAT they save selling 38/2 rather than 38/10 is serious business.
