Although we all have different viewing habits, there can be no denying that there are good quality dramas on there.
As for whether or not SA will ever come to VM, I would say that the only way that is now likely to happen is if Now TV appears on the Tivo box. This overcomes the problem Virgin has with the cost of providing the channel and gives its customers the option for them to pay to receive it.

ITV Encore is only showing repeated material for the most part at the moment, although a new series of The Americans is currently airing.
Next year, we should see original dramas introduced to that channel and I think we should reserve judgement until that time.
When that happens, the exclusivity period with Sky should be ending.

I think it'll be the same with AMC overtime it will grow and improve as a channel and possibly arrive on other platforms too.

Content is the future, having experienced Kodi, which is almost certainly illegal but shows the model which consumers want, everything available when we want it. The suppliers need to take note and come up with a solution which moves away from linear channels and restrictive practices and seeks a way of making a profit while giving us want we want.

Yes, I think that, too. BT must be losing out hand over fist for this channel for a very small audience.

Unless they've changed their minds on this, it is also Liberty Global's philosophy.
Let's hope they get a move on before another company steals the idea!

Kodi itself is not illegal it is infact a legiment media player, some of the addons are illegal though.
However a EU court recently ruled it is legal to stream copyrighted content however it is illegal to download or upload it.

Hence the reason Kodi is available on the Google store, as you say the addons are less so, I pay for Virgin XL + Sport (Go Toon!) and Sky Movies. Someone such as Sky or Virgin needs to supply everything at a monthly charge or become totally on demand with a charge per program. I'm not stupid enough to believe that they wouldn't overprice this but if they don't take action soon the ship may have sailed.

Yes, I agree. I've said on several occasions that VM need to provide as many streaming services as possible - a combination of subscription and pay per view services, which would bolster their TV offer. I am convinced that this would be truly popular and would stop most of the gripes about lack of popular channels.
Sadly, time is slipping away, and soon there will be new services available elsewhere which will eclipse Virgin's TV packages.

Personally, I don't give a toss as to what channels they are; it's the choice I want more than anything.

additional choice generally costs money, if i'm never going to watch it then I don't want it. personally i'd prefer all channel to be priced and then I only select those that I want.
Two side effects, I see less channels and its easier to channel hop and secondly I don't have to support channels that only produce dross.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015) Vol. 2
We have seen rumours that TruTV is asking too much for two channels.
We feel that Virgin Media UK are doing things the Telewest way.
-Look to us that Virgin Media UK are paying Sony two times per month (One for True channels and Tiny Pop and an other one for Sony TV UK).
-Wait until the broadcaster deal is up.
-Tell broadcast "Heres £X per month" for channel Z.
This post is just Media Boy HQ views.
We have been told something will happen on TiVo by next years Summer Olympics.

Is it nearly 4 years since VM added the structure for all those extra HD channels?

No it's VM asking too much for Trutv to be on their platform, the same with SPIKE and yourtv.

If you like boxing or MMA Spike is a great channel. Saturday fight night almost each and every week. The shows aren't always live but definitely worth a watch
