I was changed over to 50mb broadband 2 days ago and ever since its been really slow, using speedtest.net my download speed is about 2 mb/s and upload speed 3mb/s, when downloading in newsleecher its only giving me about 200k/sec. when I was on the 30mb broadband I never had a problem, it was always full speed..
I have tryed it on 3 pcs and all give the same result, all pcs are wired to my router by cat 6 ethernet cables.
tbh unless you are using ssl I have found newsgroups to be a poor measure of reliability for speed, especially VM's news groups. I haven't used them in a while but I can remember when they used to crawl along at 70k/sec. Can you post your power levels. Click on this link and look at the 5th post down. Presumably you are using a shub only and not your own router?
I have tryed Astraweb and newsdemon with ssl and virgins server without ssl, same problem.
my speed has actualy been fine all day. have been geting full speed but now its really slowing down again.
I have tryed pluging directly into the superhub and its the same problem, i have reset the superhub aswell and still the same problem
Have you tried 150, broadband support? they will most likely 'send a few signals' reset their end. Also post up on the VM community forum if you haven't already.
