I think this a promotion they do each year to encourage subscribers to Premier Sports.

could well be; although i wouldnt rule them out do a wholesale agreement for XL as they were very open about wanting such arrangement a while ago before they got onto to the platform.
But then again for any real major events they had (copa america and Rugby league world cup) they seem to have given it out for free so cant complain (apart from the PQ)

You will like it. I've got NOW tv on my Roku3 box and it's been great watching all the series like Blue Bloods, Justified etc.

Reports we have seen over the years say that Premier Sports want to be on the XL Package for good but Virgin Media wants Premier Sports to be an add on Channel.
We feel that Virgin do not want Premier Sports on the XL Package down to the fact that:
-Premier Sport broadcast the same line up as Setanta Sport Ireland.
-They are both own by the same people who run Setanta Sport UK before it was axe in 2009.
Quote:
|
Premier Sports was formed in 2009 by the Irish businessman Michael O'Rourke, a joint CEO and part owner of Setanta Sports.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015) Vol. 2
Mutley, Check out The leftovers, and Boardwalk Empire of course, and the first season of True Detective is great. Sky Atlantic does have some great stuff, but not all the time, like all channels there's plenty of filler.
