Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015) Vol. 2
That is an interesting link posted by freeburn if somewhat confusing.
If it was indeed Sky Sports in HD, BT/ESPN in HD and Premier Sports for £28 p/m on top of the Big Kahuna price (as the first part of the ad suggests) that would be a very popular deal indeed. VM would poach loads of sports fan customers from rivals with that.
I would sign up straight away. But too good to be true
For what its worth i think a fair price for a total sports bundle should be around this price.

We have found the following under "TV" down at the end of that link.

Premium channels: Premium channels and package upgrades must be kept for at least 30 days. You must subscribe to Sky Sports and/or Sky Movies in SD to take these channels in HD. Sky Sports News HQ HD not yet available on Virgin Media. Sky Movies Premiere +1 not available in HD.

Still good news for you VM guys though as looking at that deal, it would appear that BT Sport Europe seems to be heading into that bundle and therefore quite possibly the XL TV bundle.

We are starting to think that way due to the following (From that link posted yesterday):
Quote:
|
Sky vs Virgin Media comparison: Based on taking Virgin Media's Big Kahuna bundle (includes TV XL and Broadband XL with Phone M – weekend calls) vs Sky’s Entertainment Extra+ package with the shown add-ons on a 12-month minimum term.
|
An Virgin Media Source has told us that "Nothing has been confirmed yet" to them.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015) Vol. 2
Must be an announcement shortly. Too much misinformation out and confusion! Maybe virgin media arent allowed to announce it due to a deal with bt sport?? like last time when we only got told we were going to get the channels on day of launch to make some people jump to bt...
But whoever launched that site early is a fool!

Virgin Media is to offer BT’s new European sports channel as part of its ‘The Big Kahuna Sports bundle’ according to a new promo page on its website.

I thought Kahuna IS XL plus BB etc. No wonder Richard Branson lives on an island on the other side of the Atlantic - wish I did.

I'm on XL for everything. That translates as big kahuna. Is this a new package they're creating? Why are some things XL and something's named something daft? It's bewildering, confusing and I'm fairly clued up so imagine if you didn't have this place to visit! Some people must be completely lost!!

Yeah it's not clear whether you can just have the XL TV on its own, or you need to have the actual bundle and everything that goes with it....hopefully we'll have our answers soon
But it seems those on a big bundle or looking to get one, will have BT Sport Europe as part of it....well that was my take on it anyway lol
