turning off the beacon

Hi

After seeing several video's on YouTube I went to VM super hub 2, but was unable to find the page where I turn off the beacon. I need to do this to continue with my sites penetration testing.

Anyone encounter this problem before.

Thanks.

Re: turning off the beacon

You cannot turn off beacons. You can only turn off SSID broadcast.

Re: turning off the beacon

Wouldn't that be the same thing, the SSID being the beacon.

Re: turning off the beacon

No. The SSID is one part of the beacon.

Re: turning off the beacon

No, you won't. The only difference is that when someone wants to join your network, they will need to specify the name of the network.
