£37.88 for everything (minus BT Sport of course) is truly a bargain!

Thanks for highlighting the deal Superblade.
I must admit that every summer I consider Sky on a 50% 12 month deal and run it alongside VM, mainly because of the little price difference between Sky Sports on VM and the whole lot on Sky. In fact the only reason I didn't do it last year was because of the Sky Sports season ticket offer.
We'll see what happens this summer, hopefully VM offer that deal again

Not vm boxes but don't be surprised to see boxes arrive that support all 3 services terrestial, sattelite and cable.
My Samsung tv has a sattelite, cable and ariel connector. I only discovered the cable one last night.

I like the idea of one-box-fits-all It will help when changing providers
Just need 4k connectivity, more tuners, bigger hard-drive and cloud storage just in case lol

I think if you add multi-room on as well it narrow considerably - Sky multi room is £11.50 no matter which box type you have but if you don't have Tivo them at £6.50 (?ish) VM is much cheaper. Have a couple of multi-rooms and the savings are soon eaten into. TBH is the Sky Multi-room was in line with Virgin I would move back tomorrow.

The most annoying thing about Sky Mulitrooms is their stupid "Call-back" system...totally outdated along with most of their technology. I'm glad we dont have that trouble with VM.

My sister lives in a tower block and they have a communal dish too but when my sister got sky in she found she kept loosing signal all the time. She was also `conned` by the sky agent who signed her up because the feed to the flats is only a single one and so she could only record from the channels she was watching! Even the guy installing the box told her she could record 2 channels. She got rid of it as soon as she could and went back to virgin

Isn`t Sky`s call back system designed to stop people sharing their sky subscription with a friend or family member?

If you sign up for Sky multiscreen now your no longer required to have your boxes connected to the phone line.

Also doesn't Sky multiroom now include skygo extra which allows you to download shows/movies to your pc/console?

I live in an apartment block that houses 6 properties. Sky will not install a communal system unless 4 of the apartments agree to sign up. The problem we have is 2 of the apartments are rented on short term 6 month rents and one of the apartments the owners will not have sky so that means i can't have sky. We are not allowed to put dished on the building even though i own my apartment. This means i have no choice but BT or cable

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015)
As with all, I have being looking around too. Since nothing is coming to Virgin TV soon
I started to think how could they address it?
Simple:
Drop the price by 20%
Make Netflix free
Unrestricted upload on the broadband and increase it from my 1.5mb to at least 10mb!
That would match the deal I've been offered from Sky - except for Sky-Atlantic
Ok I only get 40mb download compared to 50Mb on VM but that won't make much difference to me! I don't plan to stream 4K video anytime soon!

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015)
I wouldn't go back to SKY, as even with a half price offer their service is still inferior to Virgin. Plus locked into a contract for another 11 months.

I wouldn't willingly go back to Sky either...their service is shocking and I've not had any problems at all with VM.

Netflix has nothing to do with vm they just provide the tivo app, a deal was meant to happen but no idea what happened there.

On the otherhand i wouldn't go back to vm after the way they treated me when i left sending threatening letters before i even got final bill, then tried to take money twice for final bill, they claim i still owe them £145 but yet they can never seem to send me proof of this debt when i ask lol.
Also my final bill says £103 my bank shows vm have taken £103 twice they refunded the second one as direct debit guarantee covered it but as it stands i have proof they got paid yet they fail to provide proof of this magical debt lol.
This is why you see me sometimes refer to vm as *******s.

To balance that I've had very few issues with Sky , VM on the other hand were a complete nightmare with problems such as broadband going down , oversubscription on both broadband and On Demand in my area , numerous billing issues , terrible offshore customer support.
I guess most people will have different experiences of each provider , area you live etc can also factor in on your experience.
