Hey I have 100MB Virgin Inernet and was wondering about the thresholds for downloads.

I remmeber before if you downloaded 4GB you would have 50% speed for an hour but now I can't find any of these posts, have they updated it or changed it?

Re: Thresholds

There are no download limits on Virgin Media. Full speed all the way, all the time.

Re: Thresholds

just to clarify because they are making you sound like you have lost your mind. VM used to use stm on both the downstream and upstream and adjusted the thresholds at which is was triggered over the years so it was inline with the tiers. Because of the competition from other isps VM decided to eradicate downstream stm last years so you can now download to your hearts content and the only limiting factor will line usage from your fellow customers. They still run upstream stm though because they can't afford to do away with atm.

Although I appreciate the original poster is on 100Mbit, for clarity there is no download management as long as you are on 30Mbit or higher.

If for some reason you are still on 10Mbit or 20Mbit, there is still download management.
