RMs record vs AM this season...
P6 W0 D2 L4
unless they meet in the CL that is it. Diego Simeone has that club fighting!!!
On Arsenal. Wenger is obsessed with the square peg round hole game plan. There are games in which it will work and games it wont! Even at 0-1 up and Spurs fans silenced the system proved to be flawed!

Yes I wish Wenger would choose the winning tactics instead of the tactics that lost. I would have chosen the winning tactic rather than the losing one.
I think the game as Manchester City showed aside to Arsenal that we haven't seen and it was pretty pleasing. It's because of that I am less concerned about losing against Spurs. Spurs played very well and they were at home. You're going to lose games of football. We've been on a great run and it's a bit churlish to stick the boot in the moment we lose one game to a side that deserved the win.
You've been saying for years that Wenger won't adapt, he does, and then you accuse him of 'square pegs in round holes'. What tactic did you have in mind for the Spurs game? If Arsenal played an attacking, possession based, game and lost then wouldn't that have been evidence that Wenger doesn't change his tactics?

Re: Football Season 2014/15
My mum was saying it's time for someone younger to have a go. Trouble is, the only one that would probably do any good with the Arsenal squad is Mourinho in my opinion. Cannot think of any manager who would be able to produce instant results. Who would you like to see take over thenry?

Diego Simeone. Although I still believe Wenger could win the league again if changes were made. The squad isn't far off winning it so I'm not talking wholesale transfer changes in the slightest. If the team was utilised correctly it could at the very least mount a challenge.

He half arsed adapted vs Tottenham as oppose to the game vs Man City. This was a big game whatever way you look at it. Not in comparison vs Man City btw. A win would have given some momentum to mix in with the top 2 which would have been a little experience under the belts of the players but instead top 4 is the true battle once again however enthralling it may be this time around.

Well yes a win would have been good. It's not as simple as that. I am pretty sure Wenger thought that he should win the game too.

Re: Football Season 2014/15
I don't think there was much wrong tactically for Arsenal against Spurs. What was lacking from Arsenal was quality in possession, which is unusual for them, but happens. Dropping Walcott and with it taking a lot of pace out of the side was probably also a mistake, but given Welbeck's workrate I can understand it.

Anyone hear van gaal's meltdown, reminded me of rafa and his facts, wonder if the pressure is telling or he is trying to deflect attention from yet another poor performance

Re: Football Season 2014/15
It was hardly a meltdown lol
I don't understand what the fuss is about the whole long ball thing. Playing a few long balls for the last 10 minutes of a game away from home that you're losing when you have players like Fellaini in the team, is it that surprising? Also, it worked so whats the problem? The team are playing badly at the moment, changing their tactics to scrape results doesn't bother me.
