Vodafone has appalling service
There is NO link to this - yet.
I don't know if any members of the Vodaphone network. But my god the whole network is down today, and no one can use the mobile phone.
We were told by Vodaphone shops that this is a technical issue and should be back in FOUR hours. But that was at 8am this morning.
Been advised that a 'tower' has gone down, yet you cannot reach VP to complain and they are not telling anyone.
Anyone else had any problems ?

Re: Vodaphone is appalling service
Vodafone are the worst of the major networks. Period.
If it hadn't been for other news today, I can imagine Sky would be mentioning it.

Re: Vodafone has appalling service
Don't know about now but from 1998-2004 I was a Vodafone customer and they were great then.
This sort of thing can happen on any network though. Its happened to O2 and all its virtual networks in the last 2 years.
I've had data outages on VM recently too. I don't see how an outage makes them appalling??
Just another Arthur rant I guess.
The official forums don't seem to have any posts?

It must just be a small local cell tower affecting your area. So your claims of the WHOLE network are greatly exagerated.

From what I am reading it is the whole network - albeit it seems the Pay As You Go customers mainly.

Re: Vodafone has appalling service
Well to me thats not going to be a network problem, but something to do with their accounts/systems I would think.

Re: Vodafone has appalling service
Posting this through a Vodafone PAYG 3G dongle. Seems OK here though it was a bit hit and miss to get the original connection up. (Worthing)

Re: Vodafone has appalling service
Hi Stephen, it's not an Arthur rant. My wife needs her phone on 24 hours a day. As my son is special needs, so if he goes out, he can reach us if problems arise. I need my phone because of my job. I operate 24 hours a day. It's about time companies think of the customer AND not just money. The phone started working at 11.30 last night, 14 hours later after problems arose.
With all the technology we have, they cannot fix a simple fault.

A dual SIM phone is your answer. Put you Vodafone SIM in slot one and a PAYG SIM in slot two. That way you have a primary and backup number on two different networks. Job done!
