We spoke to our family last night for 3 hours on the phone as their broadband and phone had been down for over a week until yesterday teatime.

Taking Drew to Frankie and Bennys today, we always do this the week before he starts back school. Some son and Mum time he is so looking forward to starting the High School whereas I am nervous enough for the both of us.

They do in England as well. So pleased I never went to a Scottish school as thought of school in August is just wrong, but I dare say it means that Scottish families can get cheap holidays abroad as the holiday premium won't have kicked in until August.

Nope no cheap holidays as flying from Glasgow price is far more than say from Newcastle or Manchester, we have saved up to £900 flying from Newcastle in the past.
Cinnamon waffle crunch is amazing at Frankie and Bennys

So glad it's the weekend, some serious chilling out is called for maybe with the help of bottle of nice Blossom Hill white wine along with Chinese or Indian takeaway tonight. Decided I am going to do nothing at all this weekend apart from CHILL OUT

Back in the land of 1/2 decent broadband compared to the data / communications desert of West Penwith (Cornwall). On the 3G dongle at the moment which manages a reasonable speed but when I've paid VM's bill I'll get the full-fat BB back on line.

Curiously refreshing.
