TV Anywhere

Sorry if this has been covered before.

I have my TV Anywhere registered on 2 devices, my laptop and tablet. I can access TV Anywhere on both devices at home but when I’m out and about with a decent signal I get nothing. Message saying my Tivo box needs to be connected to my home network. Surely this is already done through the fibre or do I need to run a Cat5 too my super hub.

Here this should help you

Setting up your home network to use the Virgin TV Anywhere app at home

The Virgin TV Anywhere app allows you to use your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, or Android Tablet or Phone like an advanced remote control when you’re connected to your home network. Just follow these instructions and you’ll be set up in no time.
Is your TiVo® box in the same room as your router?

• First check that your TV and TiVo box are working and connected up as usual.
• Connect your TiVo box to your Super Hub with an Ethernet cable. Do this by plugging one end of the cable to the Ethernet socket on the back of your TiVo box and the other to a spare port on the back of your router.

Yes router is in same room as router and a cat5 has been run just need to terminate it.

I can already access TV channels on TV anywhere when in the house. I thought all i had to do was log in on any of the 2 registered devices and i could watch the available programs.

Re: TV Anywhere

TV Anywhere currently only works on WiFi mate. I'm assuming when you say you can't get it to work when out and about you mean over 3G/4G, so that is why. Hopefully VM will enable 3G/4G streaming soon so that it actually is 'TV Anywhere'.

That's a shame as I really could have done with it tonight, to catch the start of the Dutch World Cup game.
