Re: superhub 2 software version V1.01.29 Out Now

My shub2 just had a massive brain fart and reset. It appears to have chosen that precise moment, while I was watching YouTube, to do the firmware update. Afterwards it needed a couple of power cycles to work again. What a POS.

My SH froze yesterday afternoon and I had to do a pinhole reset. Once it rebooted it installed .29. It's now back in Modem Mode

Interesting. I wonder if many normal users would be affected by the same issue - plenty of ordinary consumers probably wouldn't know how to do a pinhole reset.

Not too many I think. I've been over on the Official VM forum and there is a .29 thread. Seems to be fairly successful.

However, the buggy "Clear Network Log" in Modem Mode is still there .....

Still on .26 here and no, it's not possible to get to the network log page once logged in. Even after logging in and manually going to the network log page, it still gives you the login button. Trust VM to screw up things.

BT sucker punched VM with their HH5. By the time VM come around to releasing a AC Superhub, there will be a new wireless standard.

Well I would guess that someone who visits a tech forum would know how to reset a router, it's the people that know neither that I'm concerned about. They'll probably end up phoning customer services and get told to do the reset over the phone - but that's still not ideal.

I think you're overestimating how many people actually have ac equipment in their homes.

Re: superhub 2 software version V1.01.29 Out Now

So is the rollout of .29 supposed to be complete?
Mine is being recalcitrant, I've done a power cycle this morning and it came up with one upstream and a lot of T3s, did it again and it is now fine but still on .26.

Was it something I said to it?

Yes, correct, you can log in and access the so called 'hidden' pages when in Modem Mode. This will allow the clearing of logs, amongst other things.

However, it can't be done in Modem Mode per se.
