Angry @ and "

Hello,

Just re-installed Win 8.1 on a laptop but the @ and " are reversed.

Yes I know what you are thinking but I've already looked and checked all the regional settings / language and the like - the are all set to English UK.

Any good ideas as it's very annoying and I can't see how to solve it.

26 years as a bloody IT engineer and poxy @ and " reversed gets me!!! lol!!

Re: @ and "

It looks like it's defaulted to US English. There'll be other settings to change as well.

Settings > Control Panel > Clock, Language and Region. Go through all the options and ensure you've got English United Kingdom selected, in particular try Add a language.

If that doesn't work, you're welcome to a US English keyboard that I've just replaced since it's been getting on my nerves for the reverse reason

Edit: Glad you've got it sorted now
