Making the true cost to be able to obtain these channels as £37.25 a month on top of whatever it costs to take movies and sport

Thanks for that, it was a good find. This confirms the intention to offer a mid pack between M and M+. Unfortunately, on this tablet, whenever I try to enlarge the image it disappears! From what I could see there weren't any prices quoted, were there any?

Yay! Pick TV +1 will be useful for me during recording clashes if that arrives

My god
This isn't a comparison of cost for full tv packages between the two services
VM's basic package and Sky's basic package is totally irrelevant , people were asking about the HD cost for Sky Sports/Sky Movies which is currently £5.25 on Sky my point was VM already charge a HD fee thats greater than this , people were speculating it would have to increase WHY ?
Is that simple enough to understand ?

But my point is Sky isn't £5.25 for HD sport movies it's £10.25 like it's always been, but now £5 of it is inclusive within the Family pack, without this pack you can't get HD movies sport (£5.25 bit), this is not the case with Virgin, so your comparison is meaningless.

I take your point that the family pack is a prerequisite of having HD Sports/Movies but people were discussing an increased HD charge on VM as you know HD is included in XL on VM which with a TIVO costs £31 or a £1 cheaper than Sky's family pack and of course Sky Sports/Movies can be added to lower bundles on VM thus costing less which wasnt even being debated. As we were discussing pay HD channels both basic pay and premium pay it was natural to look at XL which is needed for all the basic HD channels.
Posters were mentioning a £10 HD charge on VM my viewpoint is VM already include the basic HD channels in its XL TV package , the Sky Sports/Movies HD charge is a completely separate charge which is currently £7 do you disagree with me and think this should increase on VM ?

No I don't disagree but they could increase it because HD sports is available to anyone on any pack unlike Sky, and I believe this charge is dictated by Sky themselves also.
What if Virgin say that you must have the XL pack now to qualify for HD sports movies then there would be a fair comparison with Sky, what would Virgin subscribers think about that?
