Knowing who looks to have instigated these promotions may help us to figure out if this is a good sign or not...
 | They are Sky adverts - first time Sky have directly advised how Virgin Media customers can upgrade (rather than the 'cable customers contact your operator')

Sky seems to be quite busy this year, with the Now TV packages, ITV Encore exclusive deal, the new builds deal with GTC and now this venture with CityFibre and TalkTalk. VM's acquisition of Smallworld was a good step were the speed increases. I look forward to competition ratcheting up and some innovative respoinses from VM.

With Discovery having brought Eurosport and eyeing up Premier League rights for 2016-19 don't be surprised to see Channel 5 go for the highlights package.

Well according to Broadcast who are usually right the deal has been done but one must hope the regulatory bodies step in as there is no way in my opinion that BSkyB should have stakes in both ITV and C5 who are both UK commercial terrestrial broadcasters.http://www.broadcastnow.co.uk/news/b...&contentID=870
