In this particular case there is still nowhere near enough evidence to say what has happened, although some explanations are more likely than others. The thing is, I wouldn't put it past a government or organisation to knock this plane out of the sky for financial reasons or other unknown reasons. Many have done a lot of other things that are extremely questionable and the chances of getting caught considering the location and other variables would be extremely low in this case. To completely throw this possibility out of the window as a nutcase conspiracy doesn't make sense.

there is a lot goes on that we the general public will never hear of in the name of national security. The USA as a whole is imo one of the most nationalistic countries on the planet. They have a whole nation brainwashed into being patriotic and a government that again imo will stop at nothing to get its own way in the world.
Then you have the big money concerns one of which is the Rothschild bank that hold the purse strings of governments and I am pretty sure with that much wealth they to are capable of a despicable deeds to keep their interests
I guess though it is more comforting to think the world is a nice place and those in power all nice people who really do have the peoples best interests at heart no matter how naive that really is

Or.......
Have rational discussion and investigations, know the difference between possible and probable, and not fit the evidence to the theory is another way of approaching it....

but you get nowhere with either because none of us know for sure what has or has not gone on and if any of us did then we would not say anyway.Even when we are told something has happened a certain way it still does not mean it has. No everything in the world can be rationalised Hugh. I know the difference between possible and probable but just because someone says something is not probable does not mean it has not happened
You may trust the government/the security services/the press/anyone in power anywhere. I certainly do not

Re: Malaysian Airline plane disappears
Tiz, your repeated posting of these sentiments tends to suggest you do in fact have a problem with the difference between possible and probable. I'm sure you fully understand the difference between the two in an abstract sense, but constantly, on this forum, in specific situations, you don't seem able to apply the abstract concepts to the particular circumstances.

Sooo anyway...

two litres of oil were found by Australian vessel Ocean Shield in the area where four "pings" possibly from a black box recorder were detected last week.
The oil is being examined to see if it is aviation fuel, but that process could take several days.
The slick was found 5,500 metres from where the possible signals were detected.

lol
I understand perfectly correctly
You and I think there is a God we both think it is probable where as some scientists think it is possible and others think its impossible
it is possible this plane went down or has been taken for a nefarious purpose it is in fact probable to just be an accident or a cruel twist of fate. But the very fact it is possible means it could no matter how improbable still have actually happened this way
I personally think pretty much anything is possible until proven to me personally to not be. I will not make a decision as to what is possible or not until I know myself I do not rely on others to tell me because pretty much everyone in every walk of life has their own agenda
Many people underestimate me and treat me like a fool but most of them are actually the ones who should be wearing bells on their hat

I don't, and I have said so repeatedly, so I don't know why you keep saying that....
However, I know the difference between healthy suspicion and paranoia....

Again, you appear to be confusing possible and probable.
It's possible that aliens stole the aircraft, but not probable....

I have not confused anything
It is not all about you Hugh ( arrogance paranoia or insecurity??)
A paranoid person may well be over cautious but less likely to get blind sided

Re: Malaysian Airline plane disappears
Yes, meanwhile a British nuclear submarine is busy lowering a wrecked fuselage onto the ocean bed using cranes secretly installed during its refit last year. You can look it up, it's a fact that HMS Tireless had a refit last year, therefore my theory about the crane is accurate.
