Technix over on Digital Spy has posted this "Not really new channels but I've been told Sky Sports 3, 4 and F1 in HD maybe arriving soon on VM. As always wait for an official press release for confirmation."http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showp...postcount=1230
Now that VM has a substantial number of HD channels there's less benefit in Sky witholding these channels as the "who's got more HD channels" debate seems to have fizzled out. Offering them in HD via VM may get more Sky Sports subscribers in total.

H'mm... an outcome of the negotiations commenced last year perhaps? This could be a significant development if true.

Nonetheless, I do think there are some interesting developments afoot.

One thing to watch is that Sky starts an exclusivity period for ITV Encore in June. This may or may not be significant, but let's wait and see.

Yes, and if BT manages to get increased sports rights from the next bidding process, this will put pressure on Sky because BT Sport will become a more attractive option for some who are only willing to part with so much money to get their sports fix.

Dave 42 is Missing in action | Agree with you about the BT Sport effect. Also, Sky for the first time is showing The Masters solely on Sky Sports 3 so it may be reconfiguring its approach to its Sky Sports offering. This may be influenced by other developments as it is likely to be compelled by the regulators to wholesale SS1 & SS2 to BT YouView. (Currently it only has to wholesale them to BT Vision).
