I know. I was expecting Bendtner burning the training ground down as the last straw.

Bayern punished for banner at Arsenal game.
B Munich
It's huge slap on the wrist, they will have to close one small section housing just 1000 fans.

They'll have to get a payday loan to be able to meet the €10,000 fine as well. Talk about being victimised...

Wenger speaks...

http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-arc...asing-the-game
Its the same ol'd. A massive problem is Arsenal do not prepare well enough for the big games. Arsenes methods don't really believe in that aspect of tactical play.

There is no rational explanation for having such vasts amount of cash in the bank.

See Gibbs and Oxlade C both escape punishment for the handball incident. Agree with Gibbs having the card quashed but why the Hell did the FA not pass the ban onto Chamberlain? Not read the story so if the reason is in the story then I wouldn't know.

Because it wasn't a red card offence.

A Football Association panel decided that referee Andre Marriner not only dismissed the wrong player, but that Oxlade-Chamberlain's goal-line handball did not deserve a red card. Neither player will serve any ban following the incident.
Marriner will referee Southampton's home game with Newcastle on Saturday. Refereeing officials felt that the 43-year-old, who apologised for mixing up the players' identities, should be given the chance to get over his mistake immediately, rather than being stood down for the weekend. All four officials who were involved at Stamford Bridge will officiate in matches this weekend.

To be honest I think we got a bit lucky with Ox getting the Red card overturned. It wasn't as if this was a ball to hand type moment, this was a fully fledged starfish dive to push the ball away. The ball was probably going wide and intent isn't meant to matter but I don't think that card would normally be overturned. I think it was given by the FA on the understanding that this is the end of the matter and Arsenal won't cause any problems with it.

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
The biggest problem with Arsenal, is that Wenger has simply lost the plot. He doesn't bring in any good signings.
They play well at the beginning at the season and simply burn out towards the end.
Wenger may have done a 1000 games, but everyone goes stale. Bring in some else.

To the letter of the law it was the right call. Ox should have got a yellow. Had Ox had a yellow for another incident then could the panel of applied a yellow instead of the red = further action still required ?

Thats a bit extreme. Arsenal have been a top quality striker away from sitting pretty at the top of the league.
