Re: New speeds launched for new customers

I guess this is sensible, given the network is capable of providing such speeds and will have the capacity as the upgrade program for existing customers progresses.

Expect Retentions to be offering early upgrades to the new speeds for existing (dis-)loyal customers.

Re: New speeds launched for new customers

Don't know whether it's still in place, but VM made an undertaking that existing customers could get the same deals as new ones, if they started a new contract. A few years back I got a loyalty discount that way,

Existing customers can move on the current Collections in return for recontracting - been like that for a while now

Re: New speeds launched for new customers

If you are on a lower tier, if you upgrade to XXL you'll get 152Mbit from today

If you are already on XXL 120Mbit, then you'll have to wait until the speed upgrade programme reaches your area.

This is purely down to the fact that the upgrade programme adds the capacity required to offer it to everyone in an area to upgrade their existing tiers.

Re: New speeds launched for new customers

I was rather ironically ringing to upgrade to the VIP collection.

When i enquired about the 152Mbit i was spoken to like excremement on her shoes i was that upset i told them to cancel it all, was spoken to rather rudely and she said "good luck getting anybody as good as us or another supplier as your usage is high" Honestly could not believe it, i've had to cancel the whole lot now and go back to sky, Never recieved such terrible customer service

Re: New speeds launched for new customers

Good old Virgin selling a product that they can not deliver on for current customers like me.
In Southampton the speeds I get at peak times 7pm - 9pm is about 5 down. Great, does that now mean my speeds will drop even lower. Not due for upgrade until July - Dec!
