Are you suggesting VM don't have any input into the apps they host on their network on the TiVo platform?

It may well be down to Spotify to design, build and update the app, but it looks bad on VM when these apps don't cut it am afraid.

Am pretty sure they will have an input on the development of them.

It's like the Netflix app, currently the poorest of the versions out there just now compared to Smart TV's, games consoles etc.

They might have some output but not a lot and as we seen with the BBC apps it takes longer then you think.

Just logged in to the Spotify app on Tivo. Search option has gone and the app appears to be the old version, (without search and new features)

Any idea what the quality is coming from Spotify via TiVo is? On desk PC you can choose the quality level but no options are available on the TiVo app. On the desk PC app the top quality is roughly equivalent to 360 bit MP3 but have no idea what the TiVo quality is - I personally don't like the TiVo app layout but that's just me - While on that point the Netflix app quality does seem lower than using the Playstation or Samsung TV app & not as responsive but don't add to the download amount though I've never had TM flick in yet.

IMO Spotify need to bring out a lossless version similar to .flac or even higher bit rate though if or when they do no doubt the cost per month will increase but would be great when played through a decent Hi-Fi.

What is the difference between a premium subscriber and xl subscriber as it seems you get
Spotify free if you an premium subscriber.

I'd assume it's the same as the other Smart TV apps Spotify do https://community.spotify.com/t5/Hel...te/td-p/221856

Currently the Smart TV app streams in 160kbps. We're working on bringing high quality streaming, but can't say when this will be available at the moment.

I think 320Kbps is only on the desktop and mobile apps.
