The article included the following
http://www.broadcastnow.co.uk/news/b...057814.article
This was before the BT Sport deal was done so possibly Virgin was considering Sky Atlantic and other channels as a Plan B if it did not agree a deal for BT Sport
I think the same Broadcast article was referred to again in September which reignited the speculation!

Thank you Andrew. The article says 'no agreement is imminent' so it can't be that one that he's basing his certainty on can it?

Yes it's ridiculous of us to expect you to be able to back up what you're saying.
I think everyone now has a clear idea about the validity of anything you post now.

Did you actually read my post 358? Don't you think you are being just a touch paranoid? I have never 'confirmed' the coming launch of Sky Atlantic. Come on, get over it.

Yes I read post 358 it was another characteristic wriggle, and addressed none of the issues that people are putting to you. You had yet another chance to provide links/provenance but you didn't.
I can fully understand why you want me to 'get over it' as you put it. That would save you from continuing humiliation. Perhaps an apology to your fellow contributors for disrupting this thread with continual vanity posts might help?

Frankly, you are the one disrupting the thread. My post 358 was pointing out, with an example of a previous post, that I had not confirmed that Sky Atlantic was coming to Virgin Media. Certainly, it was and remains my expectation, but it was not confirmed. How could it be? Sky and VM are being very quiet on these negotiations and there is no way they are going to let any information slip until they are good and ready.
I have no 'insider' information. Maybe if I said that I had, you would have been more prepared to believe it, however perverse that may be. These 'insiders' may or may not be reliable and they may not even exist. As for 'Virgin Media Viewers', well, need I comment further? I am one myself!
You have read too much into my posts. Whilst everything I said was indeed based on media reports, I have not been making detailed notes on every article I have read and what they have said. I am not that much of a geek. Certainly, some of the information came from the Telegraph and the Guardian, but there were a number of others as well, I think the Black List was one from memory.
I have said all I am prepared to say on this now because apart from going nowhere, I think this is becoming boring for the readers of this thread. I will not be responding to any more of your posts on this subject if you are just going to go on and on.
Nuff said. I'm sure we are both big enough to agree to disagree.

We have no need to agree to disagree. You've admitted there was no basis to your claims so you are left with no credibility. I too want to end this discourse as it has been resolved, though your continuous squirming is amusing if a little sad.

Bloody hell people it's on a channel what's with all the anger? I felt awkward and uneasy reading through all this!

This is a thread about what's coming soon or whats possibly coming soon and as such Sky Atlantic is part of that discussion just like any other channel.

If you did, I apologise to you Vince. I wasn't expecting you to read through it all, you usually expect us to summarise it all for you.
In which case we'd have told you that OB has admitted he's been wasting everyone's time.
