Toshiba Satellite A200-1VP
Hey all, my friend has the above laptop, and it keeps asking for a driver for the USB Mass Storage device, however I have tried locating the drivers on the toshiba website for it, but no such luck. Is it the motherboard driver, that I need to locate? Cos I can't find it

Try and find the drivers DVD that would have come with the laptop and install everything, and device manager may help in working out exactly what is needed.

Probably a USB card reader of some sort, or a memory card/phone/MP3 player that has been plugged in.

Re: Toshiba Satellite A200-1VP
Is the laptop by any chance running Windows 8 or 8.1?
I had this type of thing popping up on my pc saying, that a chipset, usb, management engine, and graphics driver update was available.
Checked to see what they were saying to download and they were all older drivers than were installed.
I am a stickler for keeping my drivers up to date so I was quite surprised when it said they were out of date.
It turns out that, Microsoft seems to treat all hardware in Windows 8 or 8.1 as generic and all being able to be updated by the same driver.
I have now turned off the messages about drivers and updates etc as it was just getting to annoying.
