Don't know, not got a TiVo. Ideally, the ability to remind, remind and record or record only would be ideal.

Same here, I'm really surprised that Sky didn't try to steal a march on the BBC by making their HD news channel available first.
Having said that, the space left by VM suggests it's on it's way. Because the BBC launched first, I believe that (as is mandatory on some other platforms) that Sky should have received a less favourable slot lower down the EPG.

In case you can't guess, it's very simple and only takes a few seconds.

Rumour:
I have been told that History HD, Sky Sports News HD and Sky News HD may all launch in 'Early 2014'.
NOTE: This post has not been confirmed by any Virgin Media Insiders.

I wouldn't be bothered about the time it takes to cancel the recording, it's the fact that it would be using disc space uneccessarily. This could be problematic if the disc was nearly full and I was away from home.

Why would you set reminders if you weren't at home?

Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 6.
my tivo is like a petulant child as it has regular temper tantrums so in my case coming soon is another virgin engineer.
Would be very pleased if History Hd does arrive. I am missing some of the programs Bio used to show as of yet Lifestyle is not showing them.

Is Virgin Media available in Ireland? If it is, it makes it even stranger that the Sky HD channels should be on UPC and not here. If not it must just be Sky playing their games again.

But surely you wouldn't be setting reminders if you were away from home?
Edit: as Andy M previously said.
In fact, you've just highlighted the advantage of Remind and record over just remind.

This is highly optimistic wishful thinking, but given the launch of BBC News HD, Sky are probably desperate to get Sky News HD on to VM. Maybe VM are using that as a way to get Atlantic included in the deal?
