More Council cuts

On top of the previous cuts. there's now new £100,000,000.00 cuts to be made in various councils.

in Staffordshire they're on about closing 39 youth clubs.
listening to it all it just sounds like everyone's on their own now.

which backs up my prediction of eventually people are going to feel that they're on their own. and will result in crime rising.
especially when you're telling kids that nobody wants to know, and to go and hang around on the street corners.

Council tax annoys me where what was included in the bill, now gets took out and charged for separately. but you're still paying for it in the council tax bill.

and the answer is always, oh it was never included, or we're having to make cuts.

if I suggest cutting the council tax. I get well expect a cut in services then.
they're already cutting the services. stupid!

It appears here that most council jobs are going, and are being replaced by contracts to private firms... all to save wages and pensions (25% of the local council money goes on pensions at the moment).

Councillor and senior admin posts are increasing of course, with £1.3 million added to the wages bill just for a few more posts.

"We're all in this together, unless you are a boss/manager/councillor/etc."

Staffs Council will spend £1,224 million in 2013-14, and it is being asked to save 20 million per year for five years, or approx. 1.66% of their annual spend...

His mates won't be in it with us, they'll be lording it up in some tax haven.

This whole.country is a tax haven and if you don't feel it's safe enough here there's a plethora of places in the middle of the worlds oceans flying the union jack that'll hide it for you.
