Clothes sizes...
Are getting smaller?
I'm a fairly big bloke and generally wear clothes around the XL/XXL size, I usually shop in Burtons as the clothes seem to tend to last and be of good quality, but this season, I've run into a problem.
The clothes sizes seem to be smaller than last years. IE I'm currently wearing a XXL Burtons Polo shirt from last year which fits fine, even with my Burtons crosshatch hoodie over the top. I went in today to try on some new clothes for winter (a lot of my Ts and tops are short sleeve) and I couldn't find a single XXL that would fit so I dumped the clothes I took to try on and walked out in a huff.
Has anyone else found this?
Graham

Re: Clothes sizes...
I take a M or L in t-shirts (depending on the cut around the chest and shoulders) but some of the shirts I've tried in TK Maxx and JD Sports for example are definitely not the size they purport to be.
However, I buy quite a bit of Lacoste, Adidas and North Face stuff and always found their sizing pretty consistent.

Re: Clothes sizes...
l have found that l have bought the same size shirt in 4 or 5 different places and yet some are tight on me and some of the others fit me snugly but yet they are supposed to be all the same size or so they say.

Re: Clothes sizes...
When I came across this problem, I decided to lose some weight.

Re: Clothes sizes...
Yep - I think in general sizes are getting smaller. However my biggest annoyance is the difference between brands - I'm anywhere from an L to a XXL depending on which brand it is, which makes shopping really frustrating...
